Let us say that A is Sofia Petersen, a dancer on her way to South America.  B is Devah Sorensen, a thrice-married fortysomething.  She lives on the top floor of the same house that houses D, Sjalof, an actor who goes off on occasions and leaves E, his wife Evangeline.  F is young Mithra, a young girl who seems innocence itself.  And let us say G is Ramon Salvador, a coffee magnate from South America.  Then let us say that B is the mother of A, and that A is travelling to South America when she meets C and they all but consummate a mad affair.  C is affianced to F but is the lover of E, much to the consternation of B, who sees D as her potential fourth husband.  D meanwhile leaves E, meets A on the same train just after C has left, does make love to A, and they go to South America.  There A and D murder G, after G tries to sleep with A, despite once being married to B and thus A’s former step-father.  F meanwhile has an affair with…

People Meet and Sweet Music Fills the Heart (Mennesker mødes og sød musik opstår i hjertet), is a 1967 Danish/Swedish romantic comedy / drama directed by Henning Carlsen and starring Harriet Andersson and Preben Neergaard. The softcore film is based upon the 1944 novel by Jens August Schade. It was released in the U.S. in 1969 and garnered an "X" rating from the MPAA. Krzysztof Komeda's score is better known than the movie.
